Folk Witchcraft A Guide to Lore Land and the Familiar Spirit for the Solitary Practitioner eBook Roger Horne Reviews
- This book is great for beginners or experienced witches. I will be using this book for the rest of my life. It's refreshing to have a witchcraft book grounded in tradition. You can tell the author is insanely knowledgeable and guides you to build a better foundation in your craft.
I love the ritual examples; easy to use, combine, or make them your own. I feel i have better knowledge and tools to commune with land. I love how this book touches on herbs, trees, and familiar spirits. Also, really cute illustrations throughout the book. Its really been helpful researching more about traditional witchcraft and this book has pointed me in a great direction. - I’ve been lamenting for years the proliferation of new-agey fluffy books on the subjects of Magick, Witchcraft and Paganism in general. It was such a surprise and a true pleasure to read Roger J. Horne’s work.
Along with the books "Weave the Liminal Living Modern Traditional Witchcraft" by by Laura Tempest Zakroff and "Besom, Stang & Sword A Guide to Traditional Witchcraft, the Six-Fold Path & the Hidden Landscape" by Christopher Orapello and Tara-Love Maguire, I believe that "Folk Witchcraft" is an absolute a game-changer, a book that not only inspires but actually gives you the tools to deepen your magickal practice into a more personal, meaningful path.
I’d give this book 13 stars if I could. An excellent read and about time.
